This Oak Tree Old Oak This is one tree that isn’t going anywhere, a tall old oak in the park area of my local library. The plan for the renewal of the park is in place, and today 14 old, dead and diseased trees were removed, leaving the best and strongest for the future. Twenty-two trees will be planted in addition, and a path and steps and other plantings too. Here are the roots of this oak tree. They look as if they have a strong grip on the earth.
