San Francisco

I rarely have the opportunity to travel, but ten years ago today I landed in San Francisco to attend the Cat Writers’ Association Conference to receive an award I’d won and to meet members of the organization. I had a few hours between the hotel and the plane so I hopped on the nearest trolley and had to stand in the back because of my suitcase, which turned out to be the best view of the city I could have. Wish I’d had my better camera handy rather than the little digital point and shoot I had then, but then again I’m glad I had any camera at all handy.

It was interesting to ride around this city that I’d heard so much about. It’s a beautiful city, at least what I saw from the trolley. The constant hilly streets felt so familiar being from Pittsburgh, but seeing people wearing winter coats when I wore a short-sleeved top was a little disorienting.

I took many more photos than I have here, but the camera really wasn’t quite up to the task because I was moving so much, but below is a gallery of a few others.
