Namaste, Say the Beans

My beans gave me a namaste this morning.

These are the pole beans growing on my deck rail that I’ve been over-photographing since they sprouted.

Typically you’d grow beans on a trellis or string so they will grow up and up–up to 10 feet–and produce a lot of beans. These beans can grow down instead, 12 feet down to the ground in fact, like a waterfall off of the deck railing. They’ve been enthusiastic about the idea since they began sprouting about three days after I planted them.
