No Pictures, Lady

I am fascinated by the black and white stripes of the flicker, so clear, and so narrow and definite. I love black and white, and that dash of red really completes it.

This flicker was a little annoyed with me and my camera, even though I was indoors. I know he could sense my movements and probably even hear my camera’s shutter. How do I know he’s a male? That red patch on the back of his head. The females are identical except for that.
