First Fruits, Wild Strawberries

First Fruits, Wild Strawberries
First Fruits, Wild Strawberries

What a pleasant surprise after several rainy days to see the wild strawberries glowing red in the sunshine, both the fruit and the color. They are tiny, about the size of a fingernail when ripe, but so tasty. It takes some work to get a bunch of them, but I usually just eat them while I’m out in the back yard.
