After the Ice Storm

Nature’s Decorations

I wasn’t able to get out into the woods today, but I did get out on the road for errands yesterday, and purposely took a back road to see the aftereffects of the ice storm.

The ice wasn’t too bad around me, but areas I drove through showed plenty of tree damage, though gladly not structure damage.

Colors are delicate as sunset tinges the ice on all the textures on the hills and fields.

The power lines were festooned with little icicles, but I wasn’t able to safely stop and get a photo of them. The trees, however, were as they had been decorated for Christmas.
