Devoted Dove

She is one devoted dove, sitting completely still and quiet on the flimsy nest every time I go outside and look in her direction. I’m probably a little too close to her, but she and her man are the ones who chose to build the nest right here, this close to my deck. They first considered a spot on the deck but I discouraged them by putting small boxes and other random things in the spots they were considering. So they get their space and I get to check on her whenever I go outside.
