Sunday Best

Last year my neighbor planted white lilies in the small bed in the front of the house, and what a show they put on! I could see them from my desk, and when the sun moved around and shone on them they seemed to radiate their own light. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a bunch of photos.

The bloomed at this time last year, but this year they bloomed earlier and weren’t so showy, the effects of both a snowless winter, as the snow cover usually protects the bulbs as well as waters them slowly for spring growth, and a mild spring and early warm weather causing everything to bloom much earlier.
