Lives in Miniature Among the Flowers

Lives Among the Flowers

When you walk among the flowers look down about your knees and see the lives that are happening there, a tiny bee heading for a big meal in a buttercup the size of your fingernail, but as big as a house to the tiny bee. The buttercup has opened its petals to the sun to gather energy to feed the nascent seeds in its ovaries that the bee will pollinate, the flower will collect droplets of dew each morning that a butterfly will stop to sip, the cycle creates new generations so that next year descendants of the flower, the bee and the butterfly can form the circle again and ensure the future of their species. In their turn they ensure the future of our species.
