Just After the Rain

First Forget-me-not
First Forget-me-not after the rain.

This perfect tiny blue flower peeked up at me from between two stones in my path, the first to bloom, and I almost stepped on it! But the eye can’t miss that color in the increasing green of the back yard. A rain shower had moved through and just passed when I went back outside to photograph, the sun sparkling on wet leaves and a the entire flower. This was six days ago. Now there are more blooming, perfect tiny blue stars scattered here and there.
