Flowers on Main Street

I made my first bike ride to the Post office on Main Street in about three years, but not so much riding with so many flowers (and wildlife, a little later). Lots of busy bees in there too!

I’m still loving my new hip, and grateful that I can ride my bike once again. Riding my bike to Main Street was once a daily activity any time the weather was good for it. Earlier in my business working at home I mailed and shipped things much more frequently, and went to the bank sometimes every day. That’s a one-mile round trip and I’m still known for riding my bike on Main Street back in those days over a decade ago.

I had my film camera as well as my first little digital camera and took a ton of photos. That photography of Main Street became a tradition, and archived the rebirth of our little town after the recession in the 1980s.

Many of the street scenes became paintings too, but I always loved capturing the details of old buildings mixed with new fixtures, and flowers.

You can see the paintings I’ve done from these photos, and some done from life in the gallery “My Home Town”.
