Five Butterflies Five Butterflies in the Lavender I planted lavender in my newly-sunny front yard last year, unsure how it would grow among the maple trees lasting roots. It did struggle some in last year’s punishing heat and sun, but this year they fluffed up and all six of them were soon spiky with flower stems. I love to look at and photograph them from many angles and in all light, even before they bloomed. Now that they’ve bloomed and attract butterflies and bees I don’t know how I get anything done. So far, the height of excitement was when the cabbage whites called their friends and five of them were fluttering through the plants. I captured many photos trying to get them clustered together and finally got it. I couldn’t get the video to focus in the right places, but I did get some nice short videos that I’ll put together and share soon. . . . . . . . Follow me on Instagram.
