A Pretty Fungus? 2010

Well, what else is bright orange at the beginning of September? This chanterelle miushroom was growing on the bit of a stump left from an oak tree taken down by a storm, and in the deep green grass all around it looked like a beacon. The little shelves become bowls that are used as watering places by wildlife, the water within them reflecting the sky.
