A Careful Balance A Careful Balance Another rainy morning where big fat raindrops landed and stayed in a careful balance above and below, this time on a daylily frond. If you enlarge the photo you can even see the background, upside down, inside the drops. I have two photos of the same frond. The one above is crystal clear on the left to the center, then begins to blur. But all those other fronds are in the background. The photo below has a completely blurred backgound, but in closeup the droplets aren’t quite in focus. But they have about the same clarity at normal viewing. That’s the difference between two lenses and settings, the top my F2.8 set on macro, the bottom my F4 on shallow focus. Waiting in Line . . . . . . . Follow me on Instagram.
