The Light Will Find the Truth

The Light Will Find the Truth

This one little beam of sunlight only had about 60 seconds of opportunity on only a few days just before and a few days after the solstice to find the spot on my kitchen windowsill where I’d placed the turkey feather and a spider about the size of a grain of sand decided to use it as a staging site for a new trap for meals. On top of that the day was overcast, but for that one minute in late afternoon when a few openings in the clouds lined up with the sun. But that one minute was spellbinding in its detail, the light and dark and reflections, textures on the feather, the tiny threads of the web, the way the sunlight melted into the white marble windowsill, then all was gone.

Perhaps the truth the light found is that I’m a shoddy housekeeper at certain times of the year, but that leads to some very interesting interior photos.
