The Confluence

Right outside my back door, first thing in the morning, a little bit of coincidence of a leaf caught by its stem in a crevice between the deck boards, then the shadow of the neighbor’s tree catching the leaf in the confluence of its two branches from the trunk. What are the chances, really?
