Maple Buds Maple Buds Meanwhile, up in the trees, the maple buds are responding to the warm days, the protective casings are falling off tightly curled flowers and as they unfurl and begin to bloom they look like bright red pom poms decorating the silver maple trees, suspended in the morning sun among bare gray branches, celebrating their new beginning. . . . . . . .
