A cool chess set in one of the store windows on Main Street. The day was very overcast and even without lights on in the store this magical set caught the light and offered some color.

I took another walk down to Main Street, again to run errands. I’m enjoying the exercise. I also had my DSLR and all my lenses and filters with me and took a few gigabytes of photos along the way. This walk was a little later in autumn than the perfect autumn afternoon almost two weeks ago, after a frost and some low temperatures cleared away many flowers and leaves.

Five weeks past my hip replacement I’m more than ready to take a walk! I couldn’t walk with my usual long strides and quick pace, but more like ambling along with my cane, but that was perfect for finding the details that moved me to inspiration along the way, some photographed as they are, some with a slightly different focus: dried wildflowers, flowing water in the creek, my favorite trees, and more.

I took several photos in this group, walking the same path as that first group.
