The Three Geese and the Concert at the Creek First there was one goose. On my unexpected walkabout yesterday I encountered three young male canada geese on an adventure. I followed them with my telephoto lens, photographing all the way, and soon a story bloomed. I let the content of the photos I managed to get suggest the story line. I don’t have the time to flesh it out, but here’s a draft. Scroll down and read the captions, and I hope you enjoy the photos. Then, suddenly, there were three. The three young geese were going together to a concert. Checking closely to see if he was there yet. Nope, still a little farther for the good seats, high above the water, for the best sound.. Here’s where nothing is in the way. Are we there yet? Look, he’s there! They waited… …and finally he began to sing. There he was, the most famous gander in all the world they knew, singing his famous honkadoo. The lead goose was so moved he simply jumped out into the air and floated down to land in the creek. The two were raptly listening. Then the middle goose could stand it no longer, and leaped into the air. The youngest goose was left, and was suddenly too frightened to move, then… He spread his wings and off he went.canada geese at creek …angling downward… …and came in for a perfect landing. The three were together, and swimming toward the star. Hope you enjoyed it!
