Softness of Autumn

Autumn ends in softness, soft colors, soft textures, soft light.

The tiny puffs are the seeds from calico asters, tiny flowers that bring to mind baby’s breath. When the petals fall, the seeds are ready in the central disk, each tiny elongated seed develops a delicate fluffy white parachute and many are borne off on the wind.

These types of imagery often turn into a poem. We’ll see.
