Signs of Spring

Buddy Snacking

All the animals are eating everything out there, scurrying around as if they are already late for the season. Even tree branches bounce around in the breeze with renewed flexibility.

I know how they feel. The least ray of sunshine makes me want to dance, add some nice mild spring air and I run off to the woods or the creek or some hilltop somewhere. Of course, I take my camera.

This, however, is from my backyard. It’s Buddy (I call all the squirrels Buddy) way, way up in one of the maple trees snacking on freshly opened maple buds. After a long winter of dried nuts and bird seed, it must taste like the freshest baby salad greens.
