No, You Don’t Have Any Privacy In My Yard

goldfinch on zinnia
Nope, no privacy here.

The tiny zinnias finally bloomed and goldfinches were immediately on them. This female was industriously pulling either insects or seeds from the zinnia flower, when she must have felt eyes on her…or at least one eye, the one on my 70-300 zoom lens.

Still, I had no idea she had looked right at me until I had a chance to download the photos and look them over! She moved so fast and I just snapped away. I wouldn’t even have considered the possibility of her turning to look at me. And birds always look grumpy, so it’s pretty funny. But no, anything that enters my yard will get no privacy as long as I’m here with my camera.
