Let the Sun Shine

Let the Sun Shine

We’ve had rain and dark days but I’m ready for winter! As an antidote, I’ll go back to that wonderful woods walk in October and let the sun shine. I took so many photos and I only shared three.

I had finally reached the top of the hill on the trail, and because I knew we’d lose most of the leaves in the next few days I my goal up there was to capture the canopy with as much sun as possible. I wanted that feeling of the trees leaning in above me and also wanted to capture colorful sunflares, so among the brighter shots I positioned the sun between two trees so that most of the sun was masked, the shot was a little darker, and I’d get not only the colorful canopy but also the colorful rainbows the sun emits as sunflares. What a magical place.
