Favorite Red Tulip

So beautifully shaded from radiant white to rich red, when the sun shines through the petals I let my eyes follow the details to perfection.

I planted this tulip when I moved here 30 years ago. Aside from the years when the rabbits lopped off the bud, it’s bloomed reliably every year, one petite and perfect flower.
