Winter Vegetables

Winter Vegetables

One brief stripe of sun
last chance
before sunset,
the pause to smile
when leaving,
turns onions and potatoes
to bronze, rubies and gold.

Another new poem, like the Winter Sunset haiku. Perhaps it is the sunset in these dark days that is so inspiring.
