The miracle of lettuce

I just planted the lettuce exactly one week ago, but in the mild and warm weather, and the gentle settling rain the night after I planted the seeds, they’ve already sprouted. It’s the first miracle of the gardening season, as each sprouting seed and growing vegetable seems like a miracle seen in the perspective of the backyard garden.
