  1. I have always wondered what that’s about. Only place I’ve ever seen that is in NYC, where I assumed it was a gang-territory sign.

    1. Diana, we did this when I was growing up! In the suburbs! Somebody would grab someone else’s tennis shoes, tie the laces together and toss them over the telephone line, just as a gag, but no gang.

  2. Great shot. 😀 They made the same claim in Toronto about gang related territory. It probably started as a urban myth and then young kids who didn’t know any better tried using it “for real”. 😀
