Spring Beauties, Pink and White Pink Spring Beauties I’ve never seen such a crowded little clump of spring beauties, so many flowers! And such a vibrant pink and burgundy, welcome colors as this first flowering of spring ephemerals lights up the layer of last year’s leaves and twigs. I first visited to check for blooms a week ago and found only Persian speedwell, and those barely opening. They also opened well before the white spring beauties. I’ll check back in a few days or so and see what else is ready to start the year. White Spring Beauties I also had a chance to walk barefoot and step into the stream barefoot on the last day of March. I’ll be sharing the other spring flowers I found along with a few interesting artifacts and scenes which I’ll be sharing in the next several days. . . . . . . . Follow me on Instagram.
