First Snow! The view out my back door this morning. You’d think I’ve never seen snow before. I spent an unreasonable amount of time photographing the snow so now I’m behind on everything, but it was a lot of fun. About 5″ in the middle of my back yard for the first snow. First thing, outside of almost every window. What a wakeup view. Not black and white. Outside every window this morning, first snow! Birds and snow-covered branches, and my rubber tree plant. Good morning, little garden. Arugula and kale are still growing under the snow and will taste even better after the cold and a good thorough watering with 5″ of wet snowfall. My garden in the snow. Can hummingbirds fly with a big scoop of snow on their back? Too bad the snow will be mostly melted before these color-changing solar lights come on, it’s really cool when it lights up the snow. The hummingbird with a load of snow on its back. Mr. Sunshine’s flower is a little more ragged lately, but holding its share of snow today, still spinning happily when there’s a breeze and brightening up the garden. Mr. Sunshine’s flower is still hanging in there on the fence. I took many more photos Tuesday so I’ll be sharing more of the detail shots in another post. . . . . . . . Follow me on Instagram.
